A note about assessments with me
In
my
experience,
there
are
two
kind
of
assessments:
the
ones
done
in
one
or
two
afternoons
(mostly
by
Neuropsychologists)
and
the
ones
done
by
Psychologists,
which
take
longer
time.
Both
are
valuable
and
professional.
If you do an assessment with me, it will take longer (4-7
weeks) and here are the reasons why:
•
I want to meet you as a person and get a sense who
you are
•
I look at an assessment as a process of self-
reflection which often has quite a bit of impact on
your ense of identity.
•
As a therapist, I want to give these processes space
to integrate
•
Oftentimes, questions come up during the course of
an assessment and a gentle transformation is taking
place
•
Assessment with me includes accompaniment of
these identity integration processes (if they occur)
and some self-reflection.
